About Section B
  • Riding type ponies based on As; infused with Arab and Thoroughbred blood about a century ago.

  • Height up to:
    13.2 hh in UK; 
    14 hh in Canada
    14.2 hh in US.
    - no lower limit.

  • Make excellent medium and large hunter/jumper ponies for the show ring.

  • Many are trained for driving.

  • Similar to, but usually taller than Sec As.

  • May have slightly finer bone and lighter bodies.

Matador and his band of Section B mares are producing friendly, athletic and beautiful offspring. They are maturing at from 13 to 14 hh.

Our herd sire is straight Downland breeding by Downland Toreador out of Downland Moonlight. His illustrious grandfather, Downland Chevalier, appears several times in his pedigree.

Matador is a major attraction on our farm. He exudes confidence and pizzazz. His movement, just playing in his paddock, is breath taking.

He produces big solid foals with his gentle, curious nature and wonderful conformation. See his son, West Abbey Ransom. We are retaining Matador's daughter WA Sage as a future driving pony and brood mare.

Matador passes on his correct conformation with his lovely Welsh head and soft dark eye.

Selia's Briar Rose
Daughter of above mare has given us three dark bay sons by Matador. They mature 13.3 to 14 hh. Her offspring are very athletic, balanced and talented, they possess natural jumping ability.		 Click to see the pedigree of this Welsh Pony

Yonder Hill Chantale
