All West Abbey Farm
ponies are handled daily, groomed, trailered and petted.
All are wormed,
trimmed and immunized regularly.
Our Welsh are handled
daily but allowed to ‘just grow’ for three or four
years.At that
point they are ready to learn, train and compete in any
discipline.
We
can walk up to any animal in our pastures and pet it or put
on its halter.

Abbey Patience Chestnut 2 year old filly by Friars Jasper out of Kayruss
Peacheen. She will mature around 12.1. Suitable for all
disciplines. A bit leggy at the moment due to a growth spurt.
Very pretty pony that will be an excellent competitor, driving
prospect and brood mare.

Whisper Chestnut three year old filly by Friars Jasper out of
Friars Cantores. Would make a pair with WA Patience. Similar
appearance and personalities. Carrying great bloodlines she
will be an excellent broodmare and performance pony. Very out
going.

Abbey Lucky Eve To a special show home only. Grey, seven year old mare by
Haverford Flash out of Dhonachaidh Dunedin. Lucky is a well
trained children's pony. She has done schooling, lead line,
first level dressage, and pony rides. She been ridden and
handled by many children and adults as she is usually leased
out to expand her horizons and further her career.
She is about 12 hh and in
fine condition. She is ready to start jumping and will be a
sure winner on major circuits if properly brought on.

Dogwood Bay roan colt
by *Merryment Matador
out of Oak Grove Thistle is definitely a stallion prospect.
Extremely good conformation and movement. Very good bone and
warm, friendly disposition.
Will mature 13.3 to 14 hh. Full brother to Trillium, Peppermint
and Sage.

large hunter/jumper prospect.

Five year old Sec. B black bay gelding 12. 1 1/2 hh. Very
solid and athletic, fine small hunter/jumper prospect for
junior rider. Would also make a very attractive harness pony.
Yonder
Hill Spirit Dancer Lovely bay Sec. B mare, 13 + hh, seven years old. Started
training. Excellent child's pony and broodmare prospect.

Abbey Cyrus
Dark bay colt foal by *Merryment
Matador out of Yonder Hill Chantale. He is a very nice
colt who will grow to about 13.2 hh and is a hunter/jumper,
children's riding pony or a driving prospect.
These
two Welsh/Trakhaner geldings from Welsh Mountain Pony dams will make a
fine driving pair or matched hunter/jumpers. They are two years old
and mentally quite mature.

Abbey Liski
is slightly taller and half a shade darker than his half brother.

Abbey Spotlight is less bossy
than Liski and the follower. They are very good friends and
will work well together. They will mature about 13.2 hh. Both are very
athletic, with well laid back shoulders and great strides. They are
well matched but not identical.
